Brass City Ballet has always been a family – a community of parents, teachers, volunteers, and dancers who give their creative efforts to the beauty, tradition and discipline of dance.
We’ve been a non profit 501 (c) (3) since 1989, with our programs providing a supportive environment where children:
explore creatively
take on leadership roles
value responsibility, discipline, and teamwork
aspire to do their best
But we need your help! Tuition and ticket sales make up only a portion of the funds required to keep these quality programs alive. By making a donation, you are joining our circle of donors who make a difference!

What our parents, students, and alumni have to say…
Please consider making a donation to my alma mater … Founded in a church basement in 1985 by cool mom and Artistic Director, Elizabeth Fisk Barisser, BCB is where it all started. Here I formed the foundation of my dance technique, explored the creative process, learned to receive and implement constructive criticism, watched/listened/absorbed the wisdom of those who came before me, and built lifelong friendships.
Eleanor Barisser, former BCB Company Member and daughter of Artistic Director Elizabeth Barisser
Thank you, young ladies of Brass City Ballet, for being bright, talented, determined and generous. You’re real life role models for my girls. No Disney princess could compare.
Karin Tereessy, mother of two and former BCB Yoga instructor
BCB is more than just a dance studio! It is life long learning with high standards — and a place these dancers call home! Your dancer will get so much more out of their time at BCB than “just” dance lessons.
